String badly cut-off for multiple locales in 2.0, need your input please!

It has come to my attention that on 2.0, when a user decides to sync his existing contacts (from the Contacts app) to Facebook, that the header string is truncated in multiple languages. This did not happen in 1.4 and is due to the bigger button that UX implemented as part of the 2.0 visual refresh:

Locales concerned: bn-BD, bn-IN, Czech, Welsh, Danish, German, Pulaar-Fulfulde, Dutch, Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Galician, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Norwegian, Dutch, Catalan, Bosnian, Songhoy, Albanian, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Telugu
(there might be some missing, please let me know if it's the case)

What I'm wondering now is: how bad is this issue for each of these given locales? Is the meaning completely lost for some of these languages? Or is it still understandable?

We need to find a solution if the meaning is completely unintelligible. Please let me know if this is the case for your language

I can't get Gaelic onto my Flame yet but I would imagine it's something
like
Caraidean Facebook
with the truncation somewhere inside the word Facebook.

Two questions:
1) I recall someone saying about there being plans for a more responsive
font size features. Am I misremembering and if not, where are we at with
that? I kind of stopped trying to severly shorten strings when I heard
about that.
To be honest, I don't understand why the font size is SO big on both
Flame and Keon. Feels a bit like someone measured the available pixel
space and maxed the font size for English without thinking at all about
l10n.
2) Truncation looks stupid to the end user. It may still be intelligible
but it comes across as if the manufacturer doesn't know what they're
doing, I'm forever having this debate with Microsoft. So I'm not sure if
'och people can still understand Faceb' is such a good approach.

For German, it's not a big issue because the "friends" gets cropped, but
the button which launches this dialog uses "friends" and hasn't been
cropped.

Which entity is it? There are 2 strings with the text "Facebook
Friends", both in file shared/facebook/facebook.properties. I began to
translate Fx OS 2.0 to Upper Sorbian, the issue seems to be still
irrelevant for me at that time. But it could be relevant in the future
because the Upper Sorbian string is a little longer than the English
one: "Přećeljo na Facebooku". Unfortunately, I can't test because I do
not have a mobile device.

It's facebook-serviceName, fbFriends had been used before this rewrite.
