Hello!

Just to inform everyone that I have uploaded the monthly update, V2.16,
of my forked en_GB dictionary, with 893 new words:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary-2

When the moderators have some free time, please validate it.

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Hi Marco,

Nice :)

A question in passing, have you considered bundling it up for
LibreOffice too? The only existing one is a bit uncared for
http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/american-british-canadian-spelling-hyphen-thesaurus-dictionaries

Cheers

Michael

Hello!

I just don't know how.

I am the maintainer of the English dictionaries for Apache OpenOffice:
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/english-dictionaries-apache-openoffice

But, I don't know how to become the one for LibreOffice. Is there
someone I can contact? Or can someone just grab the AOO extension and
release it for LO since I believe they are compatible?

I too have been after the old maintainers for the other English
dictionaries but they are long gone and the e-mail addresses either
don't work anymore or they never reply.

I keep a GitHub repository with the most recent wordlists and .AFF + .DIC:
https://github.com/marcoagpinto/aoo-mozilla-en-dict

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Hi Marco,

I believe you can just grab your OO oxt, register an account on LO
Extensions and put it there, in terms of the file format as you say it's
the same. It's what we did with the Gaelic one when we migrated to LO.
You may have to pick a different license, that bit I'm not sure about.
Perhaps someone else can chip in on that.

Really glad you've taken this one, the file was really badly out of date
as you said.
