It may sound silly to ask this, but in the new files bookmarks.inc and
more-bookmarks.inc in SM 2.0 [1], are we expected to translate lines like:
#define bookmarks_title Bookmarks
#define bookmarks_heading Bookmarks
(...)
#define seamonkey_long The SeaMonkey Project
[1] http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/82c4914ad8ea
As I don't remember having dealt with this type of files before, I
just want to confirm.
Besides that, the file more-bookmarks.inc asks to not add many entries
and, if possible, to just translate the default Google-related entries
there. Regarding this, is there any plan to provide links to localized
SeaMonkey Community and Support forums? Not doing it would put SM in
disadvantage with Firefox, which through its product pages gives
access to local communities and resources, like, for instance in es-ES:
http://es-es.www.mozilla.com/es-ES/firefox/community/
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/es/support/
TIA
Yes, those are there for localization.

You can add that as a category in bookmarks.extra for now. As we don't
have a fully localized website right now, it's not very easy to balance
out the default bookmarks in that regard. I'm happy about proposals for
making this easier, but this runs a bit into my personal problem of
being project coordinator, build and release engineer, localization
driver, website admin, marketing coordinator and probably some more of
those things in the SeaMonkey project all at once, with all those
positions having nobody else working on them.
Because of that, the more practical the solution is (i.e. the less work
I need to do there), the easier and faster it can happen.
I think the recent patch has made it easier to get the default profile
info localized - and it also made it easier for us to make sure there is
some common set of bookmarks in all default SeaMonkey installations. I
don't claim that the solution is perfect yet, though, I'm pretty sure it
can be improved some more.
