Hi,
Steven Garrity has been doing a great job porting the existing localized
versions of Mozilla Manifesto to Bedrock [1], moving from static html to
a .lang file.
The process has finished, but we'd like all teams to check if the
Manifesto looks right in their locale or if you find any issue.

You can find your version of the Mozilla Manifesto on the stage server
(replace LOCALE with your locale code)
https://www.allizom.org/LOCALE/about/manifesto/

So, for Arabic it would be https://www.allizom.org/ar/about/manifesto/
and so on.

This a list of the locales ported to BedRock: ar, ast, bs, ca, cs, de,
el, es (es-AR, es-CL, es-ES, es-MX), eu, fi, fr, fur, fy-NL, gl, hr, hu,
id, it, ja, ko, mk, ms, nl, pl, pt-BR, ro, ru, sk, sl, sq, sr, sv-SE,
tr, vi, zh-CN, zh-TW.

Please reply to dev-l10n-web if you find issues, note that the right
menu and the newsletter box at the bottom are displayed in English for
all locales at this moment.
If your locale looks good and you want to let us know that you checked,
you can reply directly to me, so we don't create too much traffic on the
mailing list ;-)

Hi,

http://www.mozilla.org/about/manifesto.es.html redirects to
http://www.mozilla.org/es-AR/about/manifesto/

Title "The Mozilla Manifesto" is in English.

Regards.

Hi Rubén,
looks like the title was left in English on the original html file.

About the redirect es->es-AR: Bedrock doesn't use a common "es" locale
but 4 distinct locales (es-AR, es-CL, es-ES, es-MX). As a temporary
solution I agreed to have the same .lang file copied over all es-*
locales, but I think we need to understand how to deal with this (and
redirects) as soon as Pascal is back to work next week.

Since other localizers already asked about this: strings are stored
inside a .lang file on SVN, so it will be possible (and easy) to change
them.

I've asked Steven if it's already possible to change those strings or if
it's better to wait a few days, so please wait before making any change,
I'll update you as soon as I know more ;-)

Ok, if you want it's possible to modify the .lang file in your
repository now

Two questions:

1) Since we have a lang file now, shouldn't it be listed in the
dashboard so that all locales notice and translate it?

2) As stated in the bug, the credits were supposed to be removed from
the bedrock version.
I don't know why they were imported but since I was the original
translator and I don't want them, is there a way to remove/hide that
string for at least my locale (el)?

Absolutely yes, this will be fixed next week as soon as Pascal returns
(the dashboard doesn't check files automatically once they're on SVN).

They were already removed yesterday evening from the .lang file. See for
example the history of your locale

I didn't see any replies for the second issue when I raised it on the
bug page so I thought I should ask here. Thanks for the info.
