Thanks again for all the great work for our last 0.9.3 release, which
included Demo Studio! It's time for another update to the MDN website
and this time we have a new set of pages under MDN "Learning"
(https://developer-stage9.mozilla.org/learn) that we can use help with.
A few notes:
1. The HTML, CSS and JavaScript obviously should not be localized, but
the rest of the copy is ready to translate.
2. The destinations for most of the links are en-US by default, but we
have setup the URLs to that the browser will hopefully detect any
localized versions of those sites and take you to the appropriate version.
3. Some links will only have en-US versions, but that is just the nature
of creating a compilation of 3rd party sites. Hopefully your
communities find most of them still useful.
This is your chance to catch up on MDN localization before our MDN 0.9.4
push next week. We are scheduled to go out on Thursday 4/28 around 4pm
PT, so please try to have your strings updated before then.
Check out https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/mdn/ to see where your
locale stands right now. I hope your team will be able to get started
if you haven't already or get closer to 100% completion soon.
Most of your locales should already be ready to work on via Verbatim or
SVN, but for any new locales, please file a bug under Mozilla Developer
Network -> Localization and we'll get you setup for the next MDN 0.9.5
release in late May or early June.
Thanks!

We've updates the templates/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po to reflect the
latest changes. In the process verbatim got caught of guard, and I had
to merge some changes manually (hopefully for the last time - we're
moving to the model where MDN folks will update *only* the template, not
your locales).
All in all, everything should be find, but if you'll notice that some of
your already localized strings are not there, let me know - I have
backups and SVN has backups so we should be able to get you back on tracks.
Cheers,
g.
Just a reminder that we are planning our MDN 0.9.4 push for this
Thursday 4/28 at 2pm PT... so please try to have your localizations
up-to-date so people in your part of the world can enjoy the new content
on MDN.
Thanks!

It’s been a while, since I last translated MDN strings, so I’m not sure
what the German locale’s state before this update was.
I’ll just ask that way: right now, we have 136 strings missing, which
means around 1100 words.
Are these all new strings, or did something get lost (I’m hoping for the
latter ;-))?
Regards
Michael
