Hi,

The Advocacy team is planning on sending a survey to Maker Party
participants after they attended an event, and would like to localize
it. Target locales are the same as for the Maker Party website:
https://www.makerparty.community/

Locales involved: bg, cs, de, es, fr, it, nl, pl (if your locale is not
in the list, you can stop reading)

Deadline: October 30

Where to translate:
https://pontoon.mozilla.org/*LOCALE*/engagement/surveys/survey_maker_party_2016.lang/

https://github.com/mozilla-l10n/engagement-l10n/blob/master/*LOCALE*/surveys/survey_maker_party_2016.lang

You can check out the survey here:
http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3095377/e30b0c675d33

Please note that 2 strings are reused for two different answers, as we
can’t have different translations:
1 – None
7 – A Great Deal

I’ve also imported some translations from the last survey (for buttons
and error messages), as the context is the same, but you may want to
review them.

Let me know if you have any question!

Cheers,
Théo

Hi Michal,

That’s a very good question :) I’m asking the people running the survey
and will let you know.

Cheers,
Théo

Hi Théo,

I’m also wondering, there is an activity namened „Meme School“ which no
longer appears in the strings for the Advocacy pages. There is a string
named „Meme Around“ there. Are these the same activities?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

You actually found a discrepancy on the website: “Meme School“ on this
page https://learning.mozilla.org/en-US/events/resources links to the
“Meme Around” activity here
https://advocacy.mozilla.org/en-US/maker-party/activities/meme-around

I *think* Meme Around is the final name, but I’m asking for
confirmation. I’ll update the string once I’m sure it should be Meme Around.
Thanks for catching that!

Théo

Hi Michael,

I’ve updated the string to “Meme Around” on the survey, and will update
the website shortly.

Cheers,
Théo

Hi,

I would like to know why Slovenia is not included? We will host 3 events.

Best regards,
Gašper Deržanič

Hi Michal,

So the survey should be distributed by hosts at the end of Maker Parties
and answers to open questions will be machine translated (hosts won’t
have access to answers).

Hope this answers your question :)

Cheers,
Théo

Hi Gasper,

It was not initially included because we didn’t know how the survey
would be used, so we went with the list of locales enabled on
https://www.makerparty.community/
I’ve got confirmation that we could add new locales and that those
translations would be used so I added the survey to Slovenian locale.

If other locales are hosting Maker Parties and are interested in
localizing this survey, please reach out to me.

Thanks,
Théo
