Pontoon: Plural strings in Machinery

Hi,

a question: Is it possible to include all plural rule strings in the
Machinery section? It would be very fine if translators could simply
copy the plural strings from the Machinery by one click. Until now, just
the other string can be copied to a translation textarea.

Hi Michael,

That's not possible ATM.

For PO files, we store each plural variant as a separate translation and
also as a separate entry in Translation Memory. So you need to copy each
variant separately from Machinery.

For FTL files, string as a whole is stored as a translation, and only one
variant (other) is stored in Translation Memory. We need to fix
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1453341 first, which will
store all plural variants of FTL strings in the Translation Memory. And
based on the specifics of that implement plural form matching.

I agree this would be a nice feature to have, but it's not completely
trivial to implement.
