Yes, both languages are in fact similar to each other. Copying strings
as suggestions, however, is a little risky because there is the risk to
overlook minor differences.
Sometimes I use the strings from the locales tab even though there are
similar strings in the Machinery tab: For strings with plural rules, for
instance, because all plural strings are copied from the locales tab but
not from the Machinery tab.

Hm,I don't know. I think it's better to be in control of the existing
English strings. In fact, translating from Upper Sorbian into Lower
Sorbian is translating from a secondary language and not from the
primary/original language which is English.
