Hi,

I am an automated script letting you know the AMO .po files have just been
updated. Unless something unusual is happening, we do weekly pushes on
Thursdays so any strings committed by then will go live. To give you an
idea of the number of new strings I will calculate untranslated strings.

Hi Wil,

German translation is updated. I’ve got a question about one string, though.

String 1750 in the messages.po says: ¹)

> You must have administrative rights to add Themes to your Firefox browser.

And I’m wondering, since when do you need to have administrative rights
to install any add-on in Firefox?

Thanks and regards

Michael

I'm not sure. That FAQ was migrated from
http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/faq . I'll have someone review it.
Thanks for pointing it out (and for the German translation).

Dear Will,

I have some doubt about some strings.
I have tried to find the page on the test site without finding nothing.

This is a typo in the english version: (specificy)
https://localize.mozilla.org/it/amo/translate.html?unit=1431430

What is this string refered to?
https://localize.mozilla.org/it/amo/translate.html?unit=1431506
Is it possible to see the page referenced by this string?

This string:
https://localize.mozilla.org/it/amo/translate.html?unit=1431434
it refers to status bar, but, formally, status bar, not exists anymore,
it was replaced by addons-bar.

Hi Wil

I found this string in messages.po:
Please use this form <strong>only for issues with Mozilla
Marketplace</strong>. For other support and questions, please visit <a
href=\"%(sumo_url)s\" target=\"_blank\">support.mozilla.com</a>. We are
unable to respond to misdirected support requests through this form.

Shouldn't 'Mozilla Marketplace' be 'Firefox Marketplace'?

Yes Jrgen, good catch. I fixed it in
https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/c33ca4046d5252244aad19de1e23870abe481e0c
and it'll get extracted next time I merge to the .po's. Thanks!

To that respect, Marketplace is referred to in various ways throughout the
files: Mozilla Marketplace, Firefox Marketplace, Firefox OS Marketplace,
Marketplace and marketplace (without capital), and sometimes it is
preceded by the, in other cases it isnt. Might be worthwile to do a
review on that ;-)

Hi Team,

@Will, there is also a few references to out-dated paths in Firefox menu
in
1753
<https://localize.mozilla.org/es/amo/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po/translate/?unit=1431211>
and subsequent strings: "Simply go to the <code>Tools</code> &gt; <code>
Add-ons</code> menu and click on the <code>Appearance</code> tab".

Best,

I'm not sure what is outdated there? That's the flow on my computer.
It may be different between operating systems, but that's nothing new
and something we've got to live with unless we want to really complicate
things.

Well, it'd be as easy as adding the right path for Windows users in
brackets. For example, Support Mozilla articles automatically identify user
operating system and display the content based on that, but I think AMO
isn't that user-responsive.

Good catch. I fixed it in
https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/a9e06e0c1ad15dc1e06714d0fdf8763c1737f276
and it will be in the .po files in the next extract.

That's part of our flow for helping developers add in receipt checking
into their apps. It can be seen at
https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/developers/test/receipts/details/

Another good catch. I changed in
https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/115fd2616430c1ee309b1ebf7ac62a47021c1656

Hi Will,

This string:
https://localize.mozilla.org/it/amo/translate.html?unit=1456980

What means theme locks?
https://localize.mozilla.org/it/amo/translate.html?search=theme+locks&sfields=source&sfields=target

Maybe, the reviewer apply the theme lock before releasing the app?
