Most of our team's work is done on the Pootle server at
mozilla.locamotion.org but the server's respond time is agonizing.
Yesterday I did a simple benchmark and it almost constantly took me 18
seconds to accept a suggested string. Other operations frequently take
more than 10 seconds. So I decided to skip its interface altogether and
download the PO file directly, translate manually with an editor then
push it back. It's much more productive that way.
Today I found out the
localize.mozilla.org page. It's running the same
Pootle software but is much much more responsive but only contains the
web interface l10n projects.
@arky: Can you look into this problem? Please tell me what I can do to
help with this responsiveness issue. And btw, why do we have to split
into two web translation sites? Can we just move everything to
localize.mozilla.org?
