Dear L10ners,
I hope you had a great Christmas and a nice happy new year. Thanks to all
of you who have been doing the translations on Firefox to Swahili and those
who have organized l10n meet-ups. 2013 was a good year for Swahili as
compared to the others before it.
Towards the end of last year we had a meet-up on 20th December at Nairobi
DevSchool and some good points were discussed. First off, from now on it
was deliberated that the accelerator keys be left out while translating.
The System would automatically assign the ''&'' to the letters it would
deem fit to hold it.
Secondly, the blank strings should be left as blank strings although guys
who developed pootle are working on a fix to ensure the strings are masked
from translation.
The remaining must translate goals are listed in the page
here<http://mozilla.locamotion.org/sw/firefox/goals>.
Arky informed us that the Swahili Firefox would be put in the downloads
page for Firefox if we finish translating the first four items in the order
of priorities listed in link above.
Otherwise have a great 2014.
