Hello all,

Yay! this time Firefox Aurora
27<http://mozilla.locamotion.org/bn_IN/firefox/>is coming in next
cycle.Within 3 days we have completed full translations
in http://mozilla.locamotion.org/bn_IN/ and 4 days left also :D. More than
3100+ words have been submitted by us.

We all know that in pootle we are having current version of Firefox is 27
(Aurora) <http://mozilla.locamotion.org/bn_IN/firefox/>. Here we need more
than 6100+ translations. For that I have arranged one virtual translation
sprint over IRC.

But 6100+ strings might be a bit too much to complete in a single sprint -
that's why I did a plan for a staggered sprint.

In this regard I have arranged November First week ( 1.11.2013 to 7.11.13)
to complete 100% translation for Firefox.

Finally dream comes true. We have completed it .............

Actually this time I have noticed in pootle GUI that on
http://mozilla.locamotion.org/bn_IN/firefox/ we can switch between "Files"
and "Goals".If you select "Goals", you will see the most important things
to translate.In order of importance
http://mozilla.locamotion.org/bn_IN/firefox/goals
we selected this for translation. But everything below "developer" does not
need to be translated(I think it is not needed for Firefox Aurora 27) .This
feature looks great to me.

That means, We have to just focused only on user1, user2, user3, config1,
user4, config2, install, lang, other, platform .

In the whole event, we were just 6 participants in below.

Swarnava Sengupta / @h34v3ng0d/ swarnava...@gmail.com

Dwaipayan

Sumantro Mukherjee/@SumantroMukherjee/saggy...@gmail.com

I'm glad you like it! We did pick up one problem that we're not updating
the stats correctly in some case for the goals. The translations are
present and correct but the numbers of strings to translate might be
wrong. We're busy investigating on Pootle what might have caused that.

Hey Dwayne

Thanks for you appreciation.

At time of translation we were facing many empty strings. There is some
problem in goals statistics and statistics is only showing the empty
strings.

Hi Biraj,

Jeff pointed these our to me and we're looking at them now. 1) The first
problem is our statistics aren't updating correctly on the Goals tab,
should find a fix soon. 2) The other is simply that Mozilla has a number
of empty strings which Pootle can't mark as translated. We have some
solution for that that we'll role out.

I think our bug with 1) has made 2) a little harder for you guys. Really
sorry about that. We're working hard for a fix. Rest assured though that
the translation are fine since the Goals are layered on top of the existing
File structure in Pootle.
