RTL bugs in Firefox

Hello from an old member of the Persian l10n team! :-)

I was looking at Persian Firefox 39 today, and it looks really great.
First of all, I would like to thank you all for your efforts in maintaining
Persian Firefox.

During my testing, I found
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1189591 which was really bad.
Unfortunately over the years we have kept breaking the RTL version of our
UI and every time that a regression happens, it takes a lot of time for it
to be noticed and fixed.

I would like to ask you to file any bugs that you can see in the RTL
version of the UI when you're testing the localization and needinfo me on
those bugs. In a lot of cases (as you can see in bug 1189591 for example)
the fix may be a one line change, and I have a lot of experience in fixing
this stuff so I would be happy to fix them. I hope that we can increase
the quality of Persian Firefox and other RTL versions of the browser this
way!

Hi Ehsan,

I was just checking Firefox Persian and the first thing that always bothers
me is the address bar. I was just curious to know, while URLs are typically
LTR, is it possible to force address bar to be always LTR? Does it worth if
I file a bug about this?

I agree with Arash, It would be awesome to make the address-bar stay LTR or
at least give the users the choice to make it LTR.

Ah, yes. This is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=993806.
It looks like we dropped the ball there, sorry about that. I just
pinged Simon on the bug, and will try to get it resolved.

Hi Ehsan, But you forgot the IDN(International Domain Names).
The Perrsian IDN started by IrNic(www.nic.ir) offically.
Now all Web browsers supports the IDN.
The IDN of Iran is .ایران as result you may have http://www.موزیلا.ایران or http://www.سنجش.ایران
As result Microsoft have a very good solution for this thing. Microsoft Edge(The new browser of Microsoft), have smart address bar. When you type a RTL address, it is RTL when yopu type a classic LTR address, it is LTR!
Yes, I think this solution is better than Only LTR address bar.

What is your opinion?

I think we can definitely improve our UI for RTL IDNs. Can you please
link to the bug that you're reporting here? It would be great if you
can provide some screenshots/screencasts showing what Edge does on the bug.

(Please note that I'll be away on vacation for a few weeks starting
later today, but you can CC :jfkthame and :xidorn on the bug to
hopefully start to get some traction there. I'll try to take a look as
well when I get back.)

Hi Ehsan.
I doesn't create a new bug. I only commented on a Bug which you're in that bug's cc. That bug's address is:

Also i will attach screenshot of Ms Edge and Firefox with Persian URLs on my new comment in that bug.

Also in that screenshot, you can see the official announcement for DotIran(ایران.) start officially.
