Hi everyone,

I just want to clarify few things here.

There are almost 4 reviewers for localization, now if we look to Firefox OS 2.2 we see that the localization is done while there are still suggestions. What happened that when a reviewer do their job, they don't reject the other suggestions they only accept the correct one.

Action:
Please reviewers do that next time, reject the incorrect one or not suitable so the suggestor learn from that.

@Delphine, for the Web parts non of us have access right for this as a reviewer. I know there are few concerned or complain but I guess if no one bring them forward to such discussion channel, like Safa did, not everyone will know about these issues and we can't resolve them.

Action:
I encourage everyone if you have a suggestion or complain please feel free to bring here for discussion.
Can I have admin access to the Web part project?

@Safa, thanks for bringing this forward. For the offline translation (downloading the file), not everyone have a good Internet connection and some localizer prefer to work offline then upload them. Thanks again for your contribution, it means a lot for our community.

Regards,
Rami

Hello Rami,

This is exactly what I was thinking!
"for the Web parts non of us have access right for this as a reviewer"

About Pootle reviewing, I'll open a bug report to remove the other suggestions once one got accepted, or to stay on the same string page if there are more suggestions so they can be rejected.

And about the offline translating, yes not everyone has good internet connection, but Pootle offers the ability to download the file (even with the horrible issue it has) ;)

Last thing is that the plural forms in FireFoxOS is translated wrongly. Here is how it should be done: http://www.arabeyes.org/Plural_Forms
And the translation isn't really consistent :)

Thanks for your efforts!
Safa

Oops, the situation (Staying in the same page) is already like this! Sorry for that.

Wow, no one has access rights as reviewer? Ok CCing Dwayne so he can help fix this :) I think you should just let him know who should be reviewer for that.

THanks all for this conversation!

I did a quick review of Arabic rights.  I see there are no specific rights defined for Arabic or for projects other than Firefox OS.  I know Khaled Hosny does a lot of work on Firefox and Mobile, but I guess he has rights because he likely has Pootle admin rights.

I don't want to fiddle here but would prefer this to be decided by the community.

But my suggestions are either we need to give someone admin rights for each project.  Or at least we need one of two people with admin rights for the whole of Arabic.

If we assign rights at the Arabiclevel then everyone can work on anything, this might not be what you want.

Summary.  If I can give admin rights to one or two people then how you decide to give rights to people and how it works across projects becomes your decision.

Hmm, I thought at least Anas or Rami has Arabic admin rights, if it is
not the case I think both should have it, but I’m not very sure about
their usernames.

Hello dears,
I would like to tell you that all of the suggestions for Firefox OS v2.2(latest) arabic version, are now removed and every string has only one translation.

Thanks,
Abdelrahman Manna

Many thanks for your great work!
Now, the next step is to really review all the translations and make sure that they are consistent and doesn't contains grammaticle errors. For example, take a look at the string that come after: http://mozilla.locamotion.org/ar/firefoxos/translate/apps/wappush/wappush.properties.po#unit=5290136.
Also, the plural forms in the shared/date folder (and others maybe) contain errors. Please have a look at http://www.arabeyes.org/Plural_Forms
Last but not the least, I don't see that putting many diacritics is really good (especially for a mobile app). For example, in "المُتصفّح", the dammah is not necessary.

Thanks again for your effort!

Regards,
Safa
