Hi everyone!
Stepping in quickly here. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Delphine and I'm on the localization driver team.
Safa is not the first person I hear who has this concern in the Arabic l10n team, and this is not a new issue. I think that when a few people start voicing a concern, then it probably means something has to be done ;)
This doesn't mean that reviewers aren't doing a good job at their work or aren't interested - on the contrary!! But may I ask: how many reviewers are there currently? And for how many people making suggestions? Looking at Pootle, it seems there is a too big difference.
Also, on a side note, Firefox OS and Web Parts aren't less priority that the rest. Web Parts are very, very important to be localized. Some of these pages should be considered as part of the product itself. There is super important information there: how can people download the product itself or know about a new release if that isn't localized? I've CCed Jeff here who can probably give more insight into this then me. Many l10n teams aren't giving enough priority to Web Parts, and there seems to be some misconception about them that need to be cleared up
As for Firefox OS 2.2: I see more than 3000 pending reviews! We are shipping Firefox OS in Arabic, so this is also definitely a priority ;) As announced on dev.l10n newsgroup many times, Firefox 2.2 was supposed to be finished from an l10n perspective quite a while ago... Although main reviewers have done a great job at getting it ready in time (thanks!), these reviews should also have been considered/taken into account in some matter - which unless I'm mistaken, by looking at Pootle, hasn't been the case.
So what we usually suggest to l10n teams when there are few reviewers (or for whatever reason suggestions start piling up) is to pick from a couple people in your team that you consider having high quality translations, and give them the right to help review people's work. It's important to open up localization to more people in your team. That's what other teams are doing as well, and it's proven to work.
It's too bad because people are working hard, and it's rare to have as many localizers on just one team! :)
Hope this helps
delphine

Hello Safa,After my wishes for you to be good, let me reply for your email, If you think the reviewers aren't interested anymore I advise you to have a quick look at the other projects to see that the reviewers and the suggesters have finished three projects within 2 days.I am talking as one of the reviewers who takes the responsible people's opinion about the priorities and based on that we work on the projects.
I think the reviewers are enough and they work hard as apart of the localization team, we try to finish the prioritised projects then finish the ones which have the least priority, which means we will finish the FireFoxOS and WebParts in their time.
Thanks,
Abdelrahman Manna.
