That's actually a fairly difficult thing for us to do well right now. We
trim down the data and fuzz it a little before we render the tiles that
display the wireless coverage on the map right now. We had to do this to
maintain people's privacy in newly stumbled areas where 'fresh' tracks
would effectively de-anonymize people.
As far as stale data - we currently age out data and render those changes
to the map, so the currently visible overlay should be relatively correct.
