Intercepting JS slow popups

Hello all,
I have a JS app that does some recursive code and sometimes it shows the JS
is slow popup.
I wonder if you know how I can control the popups Firefox/XULRunner
displays when JS is slow? It turns out that my app does not know which JS
app is going to cause that behavior so I want to have a sort of
"supervisor" control and simply mark the iframe src as invalid / remove it
from the page / move to the log etc
