Does multi-process apply to Thunderbird / Seamonkey?

Do Thunderbird and Seamonkey add-on developers have to worry
about multi-process compatibility, or is that just for
Firefox?

Not as far as I know.

And there are currently no plans to exploit/enable e10s in Thunderbird.

There are currently no plans to enable e10s in SeaMonkey. On the other
hand if someone submits a patch to enable e10s we consider the merits of
the proposal.
