doubt regarding mozilla thunderbird extension development

Hiii,
I am trying to build and extension/addon on mozilla thunderbird which
would create a new text box and I created a sqlite database the search
query in the text box should be able to search the data in the sqlite
database.
I need to build an extension of this kind very soon.
Kindly give me your valuable suggestions at the earliest. It is very
urgent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Even some of the valuable hints
will be greatly helpful to me.
