Hi CommTools,

With the new Participation team announced in December, the CommTools team will be joining that team and working on strategic efforts to make participation better at Mozilla.

As part of this transition, I will stop my role as product manager for the site as I work more on marketing campaigns for the Community Engagement team. Pierros Papadeas will be leading the development of mozillians.org going forward. I know that the site is in good hands and I expect great things to come this year.

Look for more information from Pierros soon, including the new times for meetings.

I have had a wonderful experience working with the mozillians.org team the past 2 years. I'll still be following the project - see you in #commtools :)

Many will recall that when :williamr joined this project, the Mozillians
landing page looked like:

And the first page you saw when you signed in looked like:

The past 2 years brought the sleek redesigned interface we see now,
countless bug fixes and platform stability improvements, and numerous
valuable features such as curated groups, improved vouching, better search,
a more featureful API, more interesting profiles, and more. Great job
William, and welcome Pierros! Looking forward to seeing more great work on
Mozillians, and to more great work in community engagement!

Indeed WilliamR has been transformational on getting mozillians.org where
it is today. I personally as a mozillian could not be more grateful for his
contributions so far. I am confident that we will continue to deliver good
quality on mozillians.org moving forward.

Thank you all, onwards we go!
