Community test day - A request to the core team

Hello Team,

I recognize that we're trying to aggressively hit a scheduled release
for the vouch refactor. I suggest we move our timeframe to allow for a
community testday and to integrate their feedback. Originally stage was
to scheduled to be ready for testing Monday or Tuesday, but due to
migration problems as well as removing existing test accounts on stage
we haven't yet launched our test day.

Suggestion:

* Move our launch date to next week
* As bugs filter in from the community we don't default to marking
bugs as invalid/works as expected. One of the primary goals is to
understand the points of confusion with the new ux and integrate
that feedback. We'll hurt community participation if we are too
quick to mark bugs invalid.

It's true that a few blockers pushed the planned day on stage. I agree that we move the release next week and I suggest that we do it on Monday.

Request to the testing community:

Please spend some time to read through the communication in this list and the bugs on how and why things are developed the way they are or at least the communication that users will be receiving once we push this live [0]. We already spend quite some time to plan together with the community these changes and to communicate the final plan. This will help everybody understand better and test better.

But always file a bug if you think something is wrong. We always welcome bugs and we appreciate your time.

Oh and please block bug 926644 when filing new bugs.

How about we move the launch date to Tuesday? This will give the dev
team to implement/triage bugs that come in from the community.

Sure Tuesday is fine too. I just want to make sure we're able to have another release on Thu if needed.
