This would give us roughly 3 months to figure out a solution for
Facebook Chat. (Assuming this information is accurate.)

Anyone have ideas here?

Probably the most important part of that is that they're shutting off
XMPP access when they deprecate v1.0

Oooops,
In the past months, msn give many problems related to TLS 2.1, and soon FB
chat ? oh my god :-(
In the last times had many problems with protocols, Gtalk had failed, but
works well again ... ! :-(
