Dear Thunderbird Development Team,

Thank you for the great program.

One of the very few complaints I have as an everyday user is related to
the compression of folders that occurs regularly, say in every few
weeks. The compression of my say 5 GB local folders takes say half an
hour, during which my computer (Dell Latitude E6510 with an i5
processor) performance and usability for other tasks becomes seriously
limited. It happens occasionally that I click the ok-button for
compression accidentially because I have the Windows
focus-on-default-button selected.

It would be nice, if the compression could be given a lower priority so
that I could continue working with other stuff while it takes place. If
this would work, then the compression could also be automatically run
with no need for user control.

Best regards from Finland - keep up the good work!
Otto

This group is for discussion of the chat back-end used in Instantbird
and Thunderbird. I think you want the generic
mozilla.dev.apps.thunderbird group.
