The amount of space used to retain nightly, branch and try builds has
increased at a very fast pace in the last couple of months. While we
will be making a request to increase this space, we wanted to let
everyone know about the change we are making to reduce the space being
used by try builds.

Some historical information:

2009 space used by nightly and project branch builds: 161GB
2010 (3rd qtr) space used 318GB
2010 try server build usage since started 311GB

This means at any one time we are storing more than 500GB of builds for
nightly, try and the various project branches. The retention policy for
try builds is currently at 10 days.

We will be reducing the retention period for try builds to 4 days.

If someone needs a build moved/saved then a special request bug should
be filed.

thanks!
