Hello list,

While trying to prepare our Flame devices for a workshop next month,
I came across the problem of trying to use startLeScan. There are
no signs of failure, but it doesn't cause ondevicefound() events
fot fire properly. I found this in the logcat:

E/bluetoothd(15331): unsupported service 0x9

...regardless of what parameter (the service ID) I
pass. So now we have bug 1204940 [1] to describe this.

I'm hoping to develop a course syllabus based on Jan Jongboom's
physical web implementation, but only have a few weeks left.

QUESTION

Is there some mochitest run on treeherder builds which would
indicate the last nightly B2G where startLeScan succeeds?

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,

I have replied in the filed bug[1], please see my suggestion in the comment
and let us know if it still doesn't work.

We don't have mochitest run on treeherder that covers startLeScan
functionality.
Our marionette test on treeherder runs on bluetooth emulator, which doesn't
have GATT support yet.
Usually we're running marionette test on an actual device or use a test
application for testing GATT functionalities, but these are manual and run
on an on-demand basis instead of per build.

FYI, you could also join #bluetooth channel on irc to find us easily.

Regards,
Jocelyn

Using the pvt image you supplied worked and the bug is closed.

Thanks.
