Hi!

I have an S2 (GT-I9100) with Siyah kernel and the latest stable Cyanogen Mod 9.

Is not in the supported firmware list:

UHLPE
XXLPQ
ZSLPF
XWLP7
BGLP8
BGLP9
ZSLPG
XWLPD
XWLPI

There are many differences between the files on my phone (/system/lib), and the ones required by extract-files.sh. Many of them:

libsec_devenc.so
libsec_ecryptfs.so
libsec_km.so
libsecfips.so

And more.

Do you guys know of any firmware/rom/kernel/something combo that works out of the box for the build? A link will be *GREAT*. I've been looking but I couldn't find one. I don't mind changing/downgrading my Android version, or losing any data.

Thanks!

XXLPQ was the first one with support for B2G with Android 4.0. It's a stock
Samsung ROM. Then you can flash Siyah (it can boot B2G, Stock and CM and
others).

You can find easily on the interwebs :)

Un saludo

Hi Pablo,
Unfortunately, SGS2 is not well supported in mainstream project (in part, because of me). I've been maintaining this phone since the begining but right now I don't have much time, so it's a little abandoned.
If you want to try it anyway, I will suggest you to use my fork: git clone git://github.com/atilag/B2G.git, I updated it about a month ago but my intention is to keep it updated frequently.
I have a fork of Siyah Kernel too, modifed to fit better with FirefoxOS, if you feel confident compiling kernels you can build it by yourself, just clone these two repos: git://github.com/atilag/siyahkernel3.git, and git://github.com/atilag/initramfs3.git, if you don't want to compile _anything_ I did an installable CWM Recovery .zip that will flash the modified Siyah Kernel and FirefoOS as well (Gonk, Gecko and Gaia). I couldn't test it so mucho so if you have any problems installing it, just tell me and I'll try to help you.

Regards,
Juan Gómez.

I did it on tuesday!

Just flashed the stock ROM from here:

http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-apps/how-to-go-back-to-a-stock-android-rom-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-50007880/

For some reason, I couldn't flash the unzipped rom with heimdall, I had get a Windows box to use Odin. Didn't investigate much on that, my phone was bricked anyway.

Then I flashed Siyah, copied data.img to the internal sdcard, and then flashed system.img. Everything worked like a charm.

A little thing: simg2img from B2G returned "cannot execute binary file", so I had to get another build. ( http://ismaakit.com/rom/tools/simg2img ).
