Hello,

Bug #224032, "POP authentication pop-up after fail resets POP password"
has created since 29-10-2003, doesn't look as complicated, and has a $25
bounty in. Anyone can help to fix it?

That bug is only one facet of a larger issue. This issue effects all the
message protocols, so requires work that produces a shared solution. One
decision has been made, to switch from the old wallet code to the new Gecko
PW manager code. This is going to take some time since both TB ans SM are
both involved.
