Windows:
Yesterday's trunk nightly (and maybe a few before, I'm not sure) fails
to start up.
This was due to a packaging error. This is now fixed and the nightly
builds are being respun - should be published within a couple of hours.
To fix your own build, you'll need to download and install a new version:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-central-trunk/
In theory, updaters from a few days earlier to the new nightly when it
is out (dated today) shouldn't be affected.
Mac:
Updates from slightly older 3.1a1pre Mac versions to yesterday's trunk
nightly are also broken. This was due to thunderbird.xpt being left in
the components/ directory.
Again this is now fixed and if you are hitting the issue, you can either
remove the file, or download a fresh build (currently being respun, may
be 6 hours before it is out):
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-central-trunk/
Again, in theory, updaters from a few days earlier to the new nightly
when it is out (dated today) shouldn't be affected.
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas
