micros~1 finally decided to drop it's Windows integrated mail client
(Windows Mail/Outlook Express) in Windows 7 and are now pushing Windows
Live Mail (WLM), a web-based client. Has any thought been made to come
out with an announcement to welcome the existing over to Thunderbird.

I've talked with a number a people who are really upset with WLM and
micros~1 for not providing an reasonable migration path for POP3 users.
I've also migrated an existing Windows Mail account using the steps
outlined in the referenced article and things moved over fairly smoothly.

Anyway, just a thought.

read/ignore,
Pat

This is incorrect -- WLM is a desktop client, and is meant to be the
successor to Windows Mail/Outlook Express.
