unable to log out of hotmail

Excuse me if I'm in the wrong forum.  I still need to use an old hotmail account for a shared calendar. I'm getting an interesting error  screen when I use my hotmail account in Firefox. It says that it is unable to log me out from passport when I try to sign out.  My only option seems to be to close the tab while my hotmail session is still open.  Any advice?  Can anyone refer me to the proper forum if I should be somewhere else?  Thank you.  -Mark

If one would be nitpicking, he would say that this is no forum, this
is a newsgroup.

You should ask in m.s.firefox, this newsgroup is for the old mozilla
suite. And it is the developers newsgroup.

So I'll crosspost and set the follow-up to m.s.firefox, with an
intended fullquote.
