It might be that there are things that are more pressing, e.g.
security fixes. And many of the developers just do thing "for fun".
You got two possibilities:
If you can fix it yourself. Commit a patch and look what happens.
If not pay someone to fix it.
And yes, that is the one thing that is always mentioned when someone
misses something in an open source project. But it is always true... ;-)
