The release tracking page for a very long time has had no updates.

What's the status of this page? Is it no longer deemed suitable?

Which page?

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases seems up-to-date.

No, it is the Release Tracking wiki.

I can't find the post now, but someone from the group of (product?)
drivers posted a couple of months back to say (from my memory of roughly
what they posted) that tracking features like that on the wiki wasn't
working, and it was probably necessary to have something that was more
in the usual flow of work (like bugzilla flags) rather than having wiki
pages for features, which kept getting out of date.

I guess there's still some useful historical content on there, but maybe
there should be a note to say that it's not being used any more?

As far as I've seen, there isn't a replacement, other than stuff in
bugzilla bugs and on planet.mozilla.org (that is, for features that are
coming up - Burning Edge and release notes are fine for an overview of
what has happened).

I think it was Sheila Mooney who posted about this. The short is as Michael said. Feature pages were mostly out of date shortly after they were written and never saw widespread adoption with the dev and product teams. Discussion continues on how best to track use cases, feature definition, and project status.
