It would seem that the nightly builds of Lightning are still incompatible with TB Aurora builds on MacOS/X. At least the versions I tried yesterday were...

Is there any update on what still needs to be resolved to fix this?

Is it just:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=808668

or is there more to it?

Thanks,

Darren.

OK, now I'm really confused about the Lightning builds for TB Aurora.

I'm running TB nightly, 20.0a1 (2013-01-07), and found a version of Lightning that installs with it - while most fail. at:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-central/lightning-2.2a1.en-US.mac.xpi

In the same dir lightning-2.3a1.en-US.mac.xpi fails to install.

All versions from the dir:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-aurora/

fail, these are versioned 2.1a2 and 2.2a2...

So how come these differ?

Am I not on the TB nightly (despite it telling me I am)? Or is it the confusion around the lightning builds?

Thanks,

Darren.

It is just the time of the branch uplift. Thunderbird 19 was uplifted to
the BETA channel. Thunderbird 20 was uplifted to the EARLYBIRD channel.
DAILY channel is now Thunderbird 21.

You were trying to combine an old Thunderbird 20.0a1 build from before
the uplift with a Lightning build from after the uplift that already
requires Thunderbird 21.0a1.

For current compatibility as of 2013-01-08 see
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Calendar/Calendar_Versions#Development_Snapshots

According to your Thunderbird version you are on the DAILY channel,
therefore use the builds from latest-comm-central.

Thanks! I've not seen that page before and now I finally have a reference for what should be compatible :)

Thanks again,

Darren.
