Which parts of the updater require root privilages on FxOS

Hi,
I am working on the supervisor process for FxOS (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox_OS/Security/System_security#Content_process_sandboxing_%28lowered_rights_content_processes%29 ) I am trying to identify elements of the system that require root privilages. For sure updater will be one of them, but I would appriciate any hints as to how it exactly works and which parts of the code actually need root, so that I can move them to the supervisor.
