Firebug 1.4.4 was released today on AMO. Curiously the following URL
appeared on twitter:

If you click on the the link, you see a gray page with a yellow banner
across the tome "Firefox prevented this site (twitter.com) from asking
you to install software on your computer. [Allow]"

If you click allow you get an install dialog with various warnings and a
url:

note the url is not https, contrary to my understanding about AMO.
What do you to make of this?

XPIs themselves aren't served over https.
