I had a message appear on my computer that there was a new update to
Thunderbird. It asked me if I wanted to download it. I clicked on the
button to do so.
Now, I am having troubles with Thunderbird. They are, and not limited to:
* When entering an email address in my "write" page to generate an
email, some - not all - of the addresses show up in red. This
wasn't happening before the update, and a red email address used to
mean that you did not have that address in your address book. All
the addresses in this particular case were all in my address book.
* When sending an email, I now get a "send" dialog box going through
all the processes of sending the email - this did not appear before.
* Approximately 80% of the time when sending an email I receive an
error message stating that my email could not be sent, and failed,
because my settings are wrong - the settings have never changed, nor
have I ever had issues before, which tells me that something
happened with the last update.
* Approximately 15% of the time I receive the error message below:
* Only approximately 5% of the time my emails are sent.
* It appears that I may not be receiving all my emails.
I don't know what happened during the last update from Mozilla, but I
can tell you things have not been the same since.
I see no benefit of the update, and want my old Thunderbird back - or
have you tell me what to do so that I can send and receive emails
smoothly like I used to......!!
This so frustrating - I'm almost tempted to "refresh" my computer back
to a date before your update, then, ignore and refuse to update when
prompted.
Please HELP, and let me know what I need to do to correct this situation.
Sincerely,
R.Johns
