I would like to know what happened to the girl in FoxYeah the first one may
i say
did u take her down because she wears veil ( hijab ) or what is the deal
there

Hi Om nOm,

I will forward your question to the folks who are running the FoxYeah
campaign, and let you know what I find out. I think they are rotating
the photos, which are all of people who actively contribute to Mozilla,
so it was probably a random replacement.

Here's the response to your question from our Community Engagement team:

The mosaic of avatars is based on 180 twitter avatars of people who
opted in to participate. We had originally hoped to have them all
randomized each time the site was loaded but performance issues meant we
couldn't do that.

So instead we have three versions of the mosaic that you get at random
(three for desktop and three for mobile). No one was removed. Many
appear in a bunch of different places.

Janet,

I think Om Nom was referring to the cartoon Muslim figure on the homepage. In addition to the people who are still featured above the search bar, there used to a woman wearing a hijab. I also noticed her absence.

The image on the homepage rotates. Sometimes you will see the woman,
sometimes you will not.
