Forwarding Dave Steer's message to the Mozilla US Community.

Net Neutrality is a huge issue for freedom on the Web. The FCC votes on
Thursday on a policy proposal that is very much aligned with what
Mozilla has been pushing for. While Congress doesn't vote directly on
the issue, we're asking people to sign the petition and contact their
representatives to urge them to support the proposed policy (i.e., not
interfere if the FCC approves it). And spread the word to your US
friends and family members.

Hi Everyone -

We wanted to send a final message before Thursday's U.S. Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) vote on net neutrality. As Andrea Wood
mentioned on the weekly project call, more than 250,000 people have
signed the petition and many thousands have called their members of
Congress to urge them to protect net neutrality.

If you live in the U.S., and you haven’t yet, please write to your
elected officials between now and the FCC vote on February 26th. We want
to make sure the Web is not owned by any one industry or empire. It must
be protected and shared by all of us.

We’re promoting this across our marketing channels to our U.S. audience
-- but because this issue has global implications, we could use
everyone’s help. Here’s how you can help:

1. (U.S. only) Take one minute to sign the petition:
http://mzl.la/1HUD9yd. We've also created a way for you to call your
member of Congress: https://call.mozilla.org/

2. (Everyone) Share this campaign with friends who are in the U.S. and
post on your social networks asking folks in the U.S. to sign the
petition. Here is a message you can post:

Sample social post (copy/paste):

Help keep the Web a level playing field for all. Stand with @Mozilla,
protect #NetNeutrality http://mzl.la/1u38d8G

Thanks for all you do to protect the open Web.

--Dave
