Hello,
Hope you're all well. Mozilla Uganda has been awesome, we're making 5 years
at the end of December and we've accomplished a lot. This has been all
because of you. You're all super awesome and I'm glad to have worked with
you on this amazing journey.
I left my role as your Community Manager on 1st December, 2014. The
Committee assumed all my responsibilities and will aid the Community Lead
in the transition until a new Manager is selected and announced. For a
healthy community and openness, this is opportunity for fresh creativity
and innovation from other community members.
I would've loved to guide some more but sadly I've started a new job that
requires a significant dedication of my time and starting next year I will
also be focusing energies on Genopen Youth Projects and MozFestEA. I will
remain as a Mozillian, rep and sometimes community steward.
For those who need assistance or further clarification, please reach out to
the committee, any lead or me. I will always be glad to help where I can.
It's been awesome working with you all and let's keep spreading the Mozilla
passion, love you all. Cheers.

Dear Lawrence,
First of all, allow me to thank you for the excellent job done as the
community lead and to congratulate you upon you new job and other
responsibility. Yes, in life we have to grow, move to the next level and
empower others to take up our places. Thank you for the terrific pace you
set in the community and for the heights that we have scaled as a result of
you tireless efforts towards growing Mozilla Uganda.
As you move on to the next level, its my prayer that you will do more and
do it even better as is our code of conduct. May you find favor before God
and men and experiences greater success' than you have in the past. You do
have my blessings and highest recommendation as you step into larger shoes.
@Community, in our last meeting with the committee, it was resolved that
Jonathan Mubiru, will step in as the interim community manager and have a
probational period of 6months during which time Lawrence and the committee
will work with him to bring him up to speed as well as asses his capability
to serve in this capacity. At the end of this period he will either be
maintained or dropped from the position. Congratulations Jonathan, this is
significant challenge but am optimistic you will do very well.
Again, looking forward to working with you all to build a stronger Mozilla
Uganda and to the greater success' of 2015 and Lawrence to work with you in
other capacities..
