Hi,

I am currently administrator of Mozilla.cz website and forum.mozilla.cz
support forum. Last week we've received an offer for cooperation with
one of the support forum projects (pc-help.cz). My question is, if there
are any limitations or recommendations for cooperation with such
projects (bidirectional promotion, possible forums connection etc.)?

Cheers,

I don't think we currently have any best practices. I think you just have
to be careful when using the Mozilla branding, and be careful to make sure
when you're directing someone to a 3rd party site.

It would be easier to give opinions about specific plans, like if you
explained how the bidirectional promotion was going to be implemented, what
type of connection etc.

Hi Majken.

We are currently in the stage of very early negotiations - I have
received the offer two weeks ago, but was on holiday, so we are at the
very beginning.

There are basically two proposals:

* Simple link. Somewhere in the Mozilla.cz sidebar or on our support
forum e.g. a text around the input form, if the question really
concerns Firefox issue, not Windows or hardware problem. IMO that
won't offend anything, but has questionable benefits.
* From the PC-HELP side, there was a proposal to merge our support
forum into their in trade of recruiting newbies for l10n, support,
writing articles etc.

The second proposal about merging forums I've refused, because we do not
want to loose Mozilla.cz forum ever. Maybe the opposite merge of PC-HELP
Firefox section into Mozilla.cz is considerable.

Do you know about any local communities cooperating with different local
projects in the area of support or blogposts?
