Hi Fredy,

thanks for the suggestion, but it's not exactly what I want. What you
suggest is a banner. I want a real download link, which, when clicked,
will direct the user to a current version file download, not to an
intermediate page.

By the way, your banner does not show up in IE.

You can see what I want to achieve in http://mozilla.lt/ . It's full of
green download buttons, which do what I'm looking for. I'm quite
surprised nobody has this implemented properly...

Use the same the link as in mozilla.it, but replace 'product'
paremeter value with 'firefox-latest'

e.g. http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest&os=linux64&lang=it

Hi

I think that we have what you are looking for. Long time ago we made a
script to aggregate data from product-details and convert it to template
keywords. We use this to show version data on our website (mozilla.org.il)
as well as to update our wiki pages.

The script is intended to update static files, and while the script is
working well I am planning to rewrite it one day.

Hi Zulkarnain,

your suggestion won't work with Thunderbird. :/
