Folks interested in having a Mozilla Kerala event at their institution
currently send emails to eve...@mozillakerala.org. This email id is
monitored by one or two people, which creates a bottleneck in handling when
the incoming volume is high (not too high though). So I suggest changing
the event request email id to this mailing list instead of
eve...@mozillakerala.org.

Benefits: 1) Better volume handling 2) Transparency

eve...@mozillakerala.org can be kept aside for any special event-related
purposes.

Thoughts?

Ya, we can do that, because now lots of event request coming. So this will
help to know about all events coming.

+1 for the transparency part.

This move would be ideal to maintain transparency. However, emails from
non-subscribers will still have to go through 4 people. This would mean
that for the senders to ensure that their email is received by the
community, they have to go through an extra step of subscribing to the
mailing list. They might be emailing only once, just for the event. They
probably don't want to be spammed about future event requests.

It would be ideal that event organizers announce the event after
confirming with the hosts. Also, there could be other details like
budgets and stuff that is better discussed between the organizers and
the hosts and not making them public. For that purpose, the current
model works.

Just giving my opinion. Feedback welcome.
