Hello!
So I’ve posted this info on the Telegram group so you can respond there.
Equity Group Foundation is hosting a student congress week of Dec 5th and I've been consulting with them on behalf of Mozilla Foundation last few months to develop a digital/web literacy program for this event (among other things).
We would like to feature the Mozilla Kenya community in a central way. This could be in one of two ways:
1. a presentation/being part of a panel or
2. a demonstration of a learning experience
EGF wants to do this because they believe that in some schools kids can actually connect to Mozilla volunteer efforts and other Mozillians and they want to emphasise that.
So far, from the Telegram chat, there are 2 things that we can share: Localisation and Firefox OS. Here are those that are interested to help out with this:
1. Michael Buluma - Localisation
2. Cliff Argwings - Webmaker
3. Ednah Kiome - Localisation
4. Fabian Fabbs - Localisation
5. Marie Amuti - Webmaker
6. Simeon Oriko - Webmaker
Other people suggested but not confirmed are Alex and Victor (Firefox OS), Wanjau, Dennis Ndegwa (Localisation).
We have to move very very quickly on this. Can we get a solid position on this by Monday 16th November 2015?
Let’s be awesome!
Kind Regards,
Simeon Oriko | Co-Founder & Executive Director
