Hey all,

Happy to announce to you 3 great thing happening:

1. We have a new HOME (small, under construction but home.)

head over to http://nairobijs.github.io/ (http://nairobijs.github.io)

I have been able to get the MVP version of our JavaScript Community/Group home. Basically explaining all that we entail to do, the location of our meet-ups, a few more details, and just SWAG!!! As the JavaScript community we should be the pioneers of the FRONT-END, and now we also strive to prove they have nothing on us on the backend as well (node.js — w00t! w00t!). Now join in, and let’s build the most dopest community site in Kenya, if you would like to be a contributor please contact me at eugen...@gmail.com

2. We have GDG(Google Developers Group) on board

Yes! GDG group/members are joining us in this journey. Where would Google and Google developers/enthusiasts be without JavaScript. And where would we be without Google and Google developers/enthusiasts. So it makes total sense to strengthen this symbiotic relationship we have. There is so much we can benefit from Google such as AngularJS support which we strive to level up on along the year. I shall keep you all updated on the progress of this symbiotic relationship. Next up, Mozilla community? —we need you too :)

3. 1st meetup —21st March (2 weeks from now)

We are getting close to our 1st meet-up. It shall be on 21st March, two weeks from now. Please head over to meetup.com/nairobi-js/ (http://meetup.com/nairobi-js/)to join, rsvp and be kept updated with the events. we also plan to use the MEETUP API to connect the JavaScript Community website for event and members presentation purposes.

Last but not least. We have recently moved our group/community management to Meetup -- http://bit.ly/meetupnjs. If you have not yet joined us there please headover there and do so. Also please invite anyone interested in joining up, we also encourage ladies especially since we have to build an all round community.

Thank you for you time. May the force be with you, Jedis.

3 days to go guys.

It’s 3 days to the 1st initialization meet-up of the JavaScript community/user group.

I would like to you to keep your suggestions and exceptions coming in as the day approaches, and if you haven’t sent one and in need to, go ahead and do so. I have had a few streams of emails from a few of y’all. And appreciate your excitement and enthusiasm to attend the meetups and build a great community together.

Please keep informing your friends, affiliates and interested parties on this. And please RSVP here: http://www.meetup.com/nairobi-js/events/220823403/

NOTE: We am cooking something great here at iHub…now let me keep y’all in suspense, and when you do show up I shall spill the beans. The meet-up shall take place in the UX-Lab, ground flour of the Bishop Magua Center, Ngong Road.

For guys that need to join us direct them over to: http://www.meetup.com/nairobi-js/

See you guys soon.
