I wrote this on the Mozilla Uganda list. Though it might be a good read
here as well.

Hey Dante,

Building up on this. Kitchen tables [1] are pretty much participant driven
events. For those interested, you simply meetup with as few as 2 of your
friends, make/learn something over the Web and share what you've made with
others. It's all about a culture of creating makers (web makers) of
friends, families, colleagues, everyone :)

*For example*, I'm meeting up with my 11 year old nephew next weekend for a
Kitchen table. He's quite the artist, I'd say so I'll teach him basic HTML
skills using Hackasaurus [2] to get his drawings on the Web. Then later on
I'll linkup with some of my pals for a Kitchen table of my own project, The
Bulb [3]

Mozilla is also building tools to be used later on around June and needs
beta testers. the tools are fit for Kitchen table events so having some
testers and feedback would be great. Anyone interested in that can follow
the steps here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Summer_Campaign_2012/Betatest
