Hello Mozillians!

I hope this finds you all well.

Localization abbreviated (L10n) is a cornerstone of most if not all open
source movements like ours.It is one of the various ways of contributing
to Mozilla. Open source softwares are known to cater very well to users
whose primary mode of communication is _not_ English only.

The Firefox browser is available in more that 80 languages with two of
these languages from Uganda. Translation of Firefox to Swahili has been
a Work In progress and we hope to finish it up the soonest we can in 2013.

Localizing is fan and very educative as you get to learn of new tools on
the web and also new words in Swahili :). I have set a tentative dateto
have this event in Marchby setting up planning pages for this event at
[1] and [2].

I have added resources in the etherpad below that could get you started
with the translations asI prepare the meetup where we will share and
learn from each other. Expected at the meetup is the team that has been
doing the wonderful work so far.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding Swahili Localization.

Best regards,
Stephen.
