Hi Folks,

As you’ve heard, this year Mozilla’s Maker Party is part of a new campaign
to reform copyright laws in the EU that are putting up real barriers to
innovation and creativity on the web.

This month you have a unique opportunity to have your voice heard in the
debate to make a real difference by enacting progressive, modern reform of
copyright law in the EU.

Your government is requesting input through a public consultation to
prepare their position on the EU copyright reform proposals and you have a
chance to contribute:

https://blog.mozilla.org/netpolicy/files/2016/10/16-09-20_BMJV_Reformen_EU_UrhR_Verba%CC%88ndebeteiligung.pdf

We want to encourage you to respond to this consultation with your thoughts
and share this with others. If you’re not sure what to write, you can use
the wording directly from the copyright petition here
<http://changecopyright.org/>, or you can use it as inspiration to write
your own.

Please note that the deadline of October 28th is coming up quickly to let
your voice be heard.

Thank you for sharing!
