We've been experimenting with adding green into the Drumbeat color palette, for accent and a bit of variety. You can see it in action on the latest front page iteration:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Drumbeat/website/front

But something about it doesn't totally feel right to me. Wondering what others think?

* Is it perfectly good as is?
* Would making it ~darker~ or a different shade of green help?
* Is there a third color that would work better?

Check out this color experiment here:

I actually totally agree. One of the things I did in my next iteration on the project page is tone down the green a lot. It was meant as a spot colour to really add emphasis to some important elements, but I let myself get carried away with it.

At any rate, here is the updated project page:

You can see version 2.1 as well as the previous version with too much green (v2.0) on the same page.

I was preparing to reply and suggest trying a different color thinking perhaps a muted blue might work to help to provide a bit of contrast and make the actionable elements stand out a bit, and then I saw v2.1 and the green looks good.

Since it's already uploaded, here's an idea of what (a) blue might look like.

Hi Folks,

There is only one thing that i feel needs changing and that is the color  and / or arrangement
of the links in the right hand corner.  Not sure what the answer is for me personally i think
i would prefer to see all the links coming from a menu that was all on one line and maybe
colored  the same as the "mozilla Drumbeat" text in the left hand corner.

Thinking ..

Best,
Paul Booker

I love that muted blue, too.

Also think David's idea of finding a nice orange / red could totally work, too.

Hey, Paul. We all seem to agree that the header & arrangement of the primary / secondary nav aren't fully working.

I like how the secondary nav and login / sign up on this site, for example, are all on the same horizontal axis at the top:

If you've got some more ideas maybe you can post them here?

That works for me Matt.
