First contest - App Maker

Hi everyone,
While we're working on the rules, and the site, we can still start planning
the actual contest, figuring out what we'll need etc.
The first topic will be App Maker (or a more specific theme) and the
development time will overlap with Webmaker's Maker Parties.
There are docs that need fixing up. Also, we should discuss hosting the
documentation on MDN. It would be an easy way to help link the teams, and
also make the documentation easier to find.
There are two possible aspects to using App Maker as the topic - blocks and
apps. The idea behind App Maker is to have blocks that you can combine to
make an app. The original idea of the contest was to call for blocks to
help fill in the pieces so people can make apps, but both sides are
important.
If we make the contest about the pieces, we still need to give people
incentive to build the apps (but maker party might have that covered!) if
we make the contest about the apps, then we still need incentive to build
the blocks, especially since you're meant to make the apps out of the
blocks.
Perhaps a hybrid contest? You have to make an app out of blocks you made?
Or it has to include at least one block you made?
