Hey guys, just so you know the Dev Derby isn't happening this month, I was
too busy with Open Web Open Mic. We could still meet though as getting
others involved in planning the events is one of the things I wanted to
discuss!

Here is a doodle survey to see who's available on Saturday :

(note that if the "or sooner" or "or later" option is most popular I'll
send out another poll and that if we don't get enough responses I'll send
one out with other dates)

Ok looks like no one's really available on Saturday, so we'll meet a
different time. Regnard is away this weekend, we'll wait til he's back to
kick off the scheduling.

In the mean time, it would be great to start discussing some of the topics
on the mailing list.

For example, the Dev Derby Workshops - is anyone interested in regularly
helping to run these? I'm happy to hand off planning entirely, and play a
supporting role if anyone were interested, especially someone who actually
hacks. Otherwise I still need help, we need at least one other volunteer
turning up to help manage the door. Help promoting the event, including
blogging before and after. Also help reaching out for presenters.

I've cc'ed Aashni as well, Aashi, this would be a great chance for some of
the UofT CS students to volunteer. Then we'd be sure to have more people on
hand that know how to code to help answer questions, and also to reach into
the CS student pool for presenters!

Hi Maijken,

I'd be willing to help man the door or other such task, as needed, when
events are being staged.
Simply drop me a note when needed and, if I'm in the city, I'd be glad
to help the cause.
